FESTAC was born in 2022 with the aim of being a creative showcase for street theatre, so that Andorra could have its own street performing arts festival. This has always been possible thanks to the complicity of Sant Julià de Lòria, which has hosted the Festival in its public spaces since the very first edition.

In the first year, it was time to hatch from the egg and make visible the intention of taking over the street. With the second edition, we set ourselves the goal of returning and putting women at the centre of the street stage. The third edition confirmed the strength of the festival by bringing theatre, talent and territory within reach of the audience. This year we face the fourth edition with one objective:

EYES ON THE STREET

Street theatre transforms public space into a living stage, a place where art and everyday life merge and challenge us as spectators and as citizens. In this edition, we want to look further, to observe and to understand what is happening in the space we share.

The shows in this edition are built around this idea: a gaze at what often goes unnoticed. They invite us to rediscover the street as a space for meeting, reflection and play, where art helps us question reality and connect with others.

The street is our common ground, a place without physical or symbolic barriers, where theatre becomes more accessible and democratic. With no numbered seats, the show reaches everyone, inviting any person, whoever they are and wherever they come from, to take part. It is here, in this openness and closeness, that street theatre becomes a powerful tool for culture and social cohesion.
